Senior Technical Specialist – Support and Project – Home Working
Working SpirIT is looking for a permanent Senior IT Project and Level 3 Support Engineer to start ASAP. Flexible working hours, high trust environment, very friendly and family focused team of eight engineers. Client base is primarily 3rd sector (Charities, NGOs, Health Sector) and so work is very rewarding. Mainly Microsoft Cloud products with some Apple/Linux and a range of security and storage vendors.

Qualifications & Experience.
Microsoft Expert:
5 + years’ experience with Microsoft 365 endpoint/desktop management (Windows Desktop & Server, MS365, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Configuration Manager, Entra ID, Azure Active Directory, XDR, HyperV, Cloud Migrations, PowerShell, scripting or other automation tools)
General Cabling & Networking:
Configuration of routers, switches and access points from various vendors including Draytek, Cisco and HP. Ability to install Cat 5/6 cables, wall plates, patch panels and Rackwork.
Cyber Security:
Firewall rule configuration, access-lists, email encryption and spam filtering, MDM, MFA, SAML, SSO, SSL certs and web content filters, DNS security and host-based security tools. Vulnerability scanning and remediation of issues found. Ability to identify and remediate security gaps. Helping clients meet ISO, CE+ requirements and facilitation of Penetration testing. Automated updates and software control using Atera automation and scripting. Maintenance of backups and DR solutions for client systems using Synology and MS tools.

Role Responsibilities.
Resolution of helpdesk tickets and project requirements, stakeholder management. Expected to be the final escalation point for complex issues and design requirements. Continuously look for ways to make the technology more resilient and our processes more efficient.
Lead on project work and communication with the customer. Ability to map out work plans and ensure successful completion, provide quality documentation and handover to client satisfaction.
