Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Spirit UK Managed Services Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

As a technology services provider, we recognise our responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of our operations and those of our supply chain.

We are committed to measuring our greenhouse gas emissions, reducing our carbon footprint over time and continually improving our environmental performance through responsible business practices.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been prepared in accordance with the UK Government’s Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21 and the associated Carbon Reduction Plan guidance.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline Year: 2026

2026 represents the first year in which Spirit UK Managed Services Ltd has undertaken a formal assessment of its greenhouse gas emissions and established a carbon reporting baseline.

Baseline Emissions

Emissions Source             Total (tCO₂e)
Scope 1                                    0
Scope 2                                   To be established
Scope 3                                   To be established
Total Emissions                 To be established

Baseline Commentary

Spirit UK operates a predominantly remote working model with approximately 12 employees, supported by one to two field engineers providing onsite customer support where required.

The business does not own or operate company vehicles and has no direct fuel combustion activities, resulting in zero Scope 1 emissions.
Operational energy consumption is minimal. The majority of the organisation’s environmental impact is expected to arise from:
• Home working
• Business travel
• Procurement of IT equipment
• Cloud-hosted infrastructure and software services
• Third-party data centre operations
• Purchased goods and services

During 2026, Spirit UK is establishing a formal greenhouse gas emissions inventory in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. As verified operational data becomes available, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions will be calculated, recorded and reported annually.

This baseline will enable meaningful measurement of future carbon reduction performance.

Current Emissions Reporting

Reporting Year: 2026

As this is Spirit UK’s first reporting period, the current reporting year is also the baseline year.

Emissions Source      Total (tCO₂e)
Scope 1                             0
Scope 2                             To be established
Scope 3                             To be established
Total Emissions           To be established

• Digital-first documentation and business processes to minimise paper consumption.

Planned Carbon Reduction Measures

Over the coming reporting periods, Spirit UK will further strengthen its environmental performance by:
• Completing a full Scope 2 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions assessment.
